Welcome to the Fallingbrook Badminton Club (Orleans)

The Fallingbrook Badminton Club Orleans was first created in 1988. It offers its members a relaxed, friendly environment for all levels of play. Whether you are a beginner, or a seasoned player, you will find challenging games which are certain to keep you in shape. Mature youths 16+ and all adults welcome. Note: Junior players (19 and under) must wear eye protection. The Club provides nylon shuttles.

All games are in doubles format, players are matched for fair and challenging games. If a court is not used a game of singles can be played. The members of the Executive arrange the games. In doing so they use the following principles:

• Match calibers to provide challenging games.
• Provide opportunities to progress by playing at a higher level from time to time, numbers permitting.
• Provide variety by mixing players.

Changing room facilities are available. Non-marking court shoes must be worn.

In 2002, our sister club was added to the Fallingbrook Badminton Club. This was formed to give the community another badminton option. With career and family commitments, playing badminton 3 nights a week can be impossible. With this new addition, our members only come out once a week. In this laid back and relaxed environment, all games are played in a doubles format with the members choosing their own games.

The Fallingbrook Badminton Club strongly recommends that all players use protective eyewear that meets ASTM Standard F803 for squash/badminton, and endorses the resolution which was passed at the Ontario Badminton Association Annual General Meeting in June 2005.
